Chikyuujin Chronicles

Chikyuujin Chronicles is an Alternate Universe fanfiction. What that means is we took the DBZ storyline and removed an event or two to change the course of events to make the story entirely different. You'll notice that the story parallels Toriyama's Dragonball universe for a short time and then slowly veers off into the new story. If you have the Viz comics, you will be familiar with the dialouge and actions of the first episode. If you don't have them, go buy them! They're great!

Anywho, I have compiled some information that would be very useful to you readers. I have a list of the Japanese words used in the story and what they mean. It'll pop up in a small java-box so you can refer to it as you read. If you don't have java, you can go to the html via the "non-java" link.

News

3/6/05 2:35 PM - Three months? That's an updating land-speed record for this site I think! You know it's all very incredibly amusing. I opened up a file a few days ago entitled "ideabox.html". It was a conversation between Scott and I as to what we would be writing about in the coming chapters. He had outlined all the way up to chapter 15 (The last chapter of this Chronicle), and even had ideas for the next two Chronicles. There will be 3 chronicles of 15 chapters apiece if all goes according to plan. The funny part? This coversation happened the day after my highschool graduation party. I am a senior in college now. Man, time really has a way of flying on you when you're not paying attention, and this chronicle is actually 5 years old now. Chapter 13 had been in the works since that fateful day. Well, I'm here with good news. Chapter 13 is up and Scott is a page into Chapter 14. To anyone who still comes to this site, thanks so much for your support, and hang in there, I'm trying my damnedest to stay inspired and keep this story going. Ja!

12/01/04 3:12 PM - Wow, I must have forgotten about the site after all. Ok, a year and 10 months later, we have chapter 12. Kinda funny cause it was written all that time ago, but I was too lazy to edit it. Well, obviously I've been hurt as far as traffic goes... which means that about 2 people a day come here, and one of them is me. In any case, hopefully some of you spoiled DBZ fans will enjoy this work, I'm sure none of my original fans have held on this long. So, enjoy the fic, and let me know what you think. The previous posts are such jokes, right? I'll have chapter 12 SOON dammit... haha... yeah how about two years later? If you want to see the site I talked about two years ago, it's finished: IUP's Natural Sciences and Mathematics website. Click on the K-12 Students link to see the heavy Flash work I've been doing.

02/28/03 1:43 AM - Ok, I haven't forgotten about the site, I'm going to edit chapter 12 over Spring Break (starting tomorrow) and I'll have that up SOON dammit! I'm burned out on website management because I have a new job maintaining the College of Natural Sciences and Math at IUP (PA). You don't wanna see it so don't ask for the URL (yeah all 12 of my visitors per week...) Ok so I'm a failure in the DBZ community lately... I had my moment in the sun! Leave me alone! I will rule the world!

02/04/03 9:03 PM - I'm hard at work reversioning Scott's Chapter 12. Also, I fixed a few minor mistakes and misspellings in Chapter 11. Thanks to my new proofreadalizer Marty! *thhhp* On that one.

02/01/03 10:49 PM - New chapter! Alright, I finally finished Chapter 11! Also, I went through and de-cheesified chapter 10. Not much difference there other than a few quotes and things, but I didn't do a very good job of editting it the first time. So there you have it. Also, I've added a few drawing of Shikerou drawn by an old friend of mine, Shaun McInnis. They're sweet! You can find them in the Fan Stuff section.

01/24/03 3:58 PM - Ok, so it's been almost 2 years since I've updated. ::hides head in shame:: Yes, I know I promised chapter eleven back then, but I never got around to it and lost the motivation. Now that I'm at school and have a lot of time on my hands, and am in close proximity with Scott, we can get these chapters rolling again. I'm almost done with 11 now, and Scott is working on 12, so we'll have those churned out like Amish butter within the next week. This is a promise I'm going to keep, though! Thanks to those people that never lost hope, and welcome to any new visitors. Special thanks to Marty for getting my site plugged on DB Unlimited!

6/05/01 1:09 PM - I finished the site... you can still view SJFE files by typing in an SJFE file name... for example: http://cjchronicles.8m.com/sean1.html. Anywho, enjoy the new chapter and give me a few days and you'll have Chapter 11.

6/03/01 1:41 PM - SJFE is a memory, but the site continues in a smaller way, under the guise of the Chikyuujin Chronicles. A few reasons I have done this: I no longer cared to work on SJFE, I got lazy and lost almost all interest in DBZ beyond the love of watching it. My cowriter Scott Klein wasn't getting the recognition and credit due him, thanks again, Scott, you're a brilliant kid... and a kick ass programmer! I also wanted to satiate my own egotistical appetite and see how many people read my fanfiction, and bask in the glow of my eXTReMe Tracker. I had always thought I was a good writer, and this is very fun and rewarding for me. I really do feel great about this fic and I have you, the readers, to thank for this confidence. Thanks again for all your "Ur tha bset righter evaR!" emails, and if you keep reading, Scott and I will keep writing!.
